Team Lead Quality Assurance

Position Description:
The Team Lead Quality Assurance will lead a small team of
Professional quality analysts who ensure that Information Technology
(IT) products and services are delivered in a manner that consistently
meets expectations and achieves the highest level of customer
satisfaction and value possible. This hands-on position coordinates
team resources to manage quality assurance and quality control
practices throughout the IT department for hardware, software,
networking and security. The Team Lead Quality Assurance
supervises their quality analysts and the successful candidate will
provide leadership throughout the IT department as a leading
advocate for quality to ensure consistently high-quality products and
services are delivered efficiently. Additionally, the Team Lead
Quality Assurance is required to keep abreast of new technologies
and industry trends and incorporate these when appropriate. Finally,
the Team Lead Quality Assurance must provide internal updates to
co-workers and management within the IT department.
Primary
Accountabilities/Deliverables:
• Supervise and lead a group of Quality Analysts in Information
Technology department • Provide oversight and guidance to their team for the effective
and timely development of acceptance standards that support the quality objectives of the IT department and FLVS • Schedule and balance team activities to meet deadlines for
deliverables and meetings • Participate in strategic and long-range planning for FLVS Quality
Assurance policies and procedures • Provide periodic reviews of team member performance using
both formal and informal mechanisms • Mentor team members in best practices and skills development
• Escalate issues and problems to their supervisor that prevents or hinders the team’s ability to perform optimally • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by his/her

Requirements
Minimum of two years experience leading and/or managing
Quality Assurance Analysts • Four year degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or
two-year degree and equivalent work experience • Minimum of five years experience as Quality Assurance Analyst • Minimum of three years experience with web or desktop
application technologies and relational databases • Minimum of five years experience with Microsoft operating systems. Desired • Masters degree in Computer Science/Information
Systems/Business or equivalent experience • Basic working knowledge of Six Sigma • Minimum of three years experience with .NET technologies (VB.NET/C#) • Industry certifications in quality assurance, software, systems or network disciplines Knowledge Base Requirements: • Leadership and supervisory roles of technology professionals • Hands-on experience in applying contemporary quality
management principles and practices to a wide variety of projects in a fast-paced business environment
• Knowledge of methodologies such as Six Sigma or Total Quality Management • Functionality, compatibility, usability, reliability, exploratory, load/stress testing practices • Create and execute QA and testing processes on systems, networks, hardware and software • Perform quantitative data analysis to gauge effectiveness and efficiency of processes, customer satisfaction and
product/service quality • Honed communication skills for speaking with individuals and
groups about their needs and asking effective questions to surface essential quality requirements
• Critically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and abstract low-level information to a more general understanding • Ability to facilitate and lead training sessions
